A Little Birthday Cheer for Clare

Hello, I have returned again!  This time I am sharing with you the card I made for my niece's birthday.  She will be 3 on the 17th, and is a jet setting little lady.  So therefore I just had to create a tropical themed card complete with owl (which I love) and a grass skirt (one of my aha moments that made me laugh out loud).  I know that I am a tad weird, but that's what makes me so special-I'm quirky!  The DSP is from the summer mini and is now retired but how adorable is it?  Not to mention that I am about 1 and a quarter years behind in my scrapbooking means that I haven't been making too many things and using up my paper.  I just completed 4 pages that are from Halloween 2009, which I will share in the coming days.  So if that gives you any idea where I'm at and what I will be doing in the next few months; catching up on scrapbooking.  But first I will have to print off more photos because I think I have run out...  I used the owl punch for this creation (i love, love, love it!), a paper strip that I paper pierced and then used my white gel pen to faux stitch, the A Little Birthday Cheer stamp set and of course some garage string tied around the card.
